HTC One Release – The One phone to save HTC?

The HTC One release is closing in quickly with the device becoming available for pre-order from AT&T. Picking up one of the best smartphones out there will set you back $199.99 with a 2-year contract for the 32 GB variant and $299.99 for the 64 GB variant. HTC’s One price is set to undercut the big competitor, the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Not only is the pricing a good $50 lower than the Galaxy S4 pricing, but the One release date is also set sooner than it’s Korean competitor. As such, you can pre-order the device already and you will see the smartphone become available with AT&T beginning the 19th of April.

Although we should have seen the HTC One sooner a bit, manufacturing issues postponed the launch. Despite those issues, you are facing one of the best smartphones to come out this year. The all aluminum encasing is something I particularly enjoy as opposed to the all-plastic finish Samsung devices feature.

The HTC One is also available with T-Mobile. Here you can pick it up even with a free car kit for as low as $99. This is part of T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plan with the user having to pay for the device in equal monthly installments.

If all of these haven’t sweetened the deal yet regarding the upcoming release of the HTC One, then the specs might convince you otherwise:

  • 4.7-inch full 1080p S-LCD 3 display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core at 1.7 GHz z
  • Adreno 320 GPU
  • 2 GB of RAM
  • 32/64 GB of storage and no micro SD card slot
  • 4 MP main camera with full HD recording and F2.0 aperture
  • 2.1 MP front-facing camera
  • Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, DLNA, MHL

Wondering which one to choose? The Samsung Galaxy S4 or the HTC One? Seeing as pricing is highly competitive across the board and that HTC plans to release the device shortly make this one hell of an issue. Then again, the Samsung Galaxy S4 release seems to be close as well, so I will leave this one up to you!
