Apple’s iPhone 5 was a slight disappointment to quite a lot of users. The big reason was that specs wise, it was at best a mid-range Android device. The iPhone 5S is supposedly coming this summer in August according to reports coming from the Chinese blog EMSOne.
The iPhone 5S is rumored to launch alongside a cheaper iPhone this August. The reports are based on the rumors surrounding both Foxconn and Pegtron having tasks to make the new entry-level device. Earlier reports pointed towards the device being equipped with a 4.5-inch display as well as a polycarbonate case. This one would be similar to the one found on the base MacBook laptops.
Japanese blog Macotakara claims that the retail price is set around the $300 mark. At least that’s what Apple hopes to achieve. This would justify some of the rumors according to which the company has completely redesigned said device.
If you are waiting to pick up a new iPhone, then August seems to be the month to look for. However, personally, I don’t think that we would be receiving the device so soon after the launch of the iPhone 5. It would be an understandable move, seeing as Android devices like the HTC One, Sony Xperia C670X and Samsung Galaxy IV come packing quite the punch.
Are you eager to get your hands on the iPhone 5S or would you be enticed to get the cheaper, entry-level iPhone?
