The first time I read something about the HTC Edge I was intrigued to say the very least. Quad-core was still quite far away from properly hitting the market, so it felt really strange to think of a quad-core processor residing in a smartphone. However, meanwhile the HTC Edge applied for a name change and although I was waiting to see something along the lines of “Billy Bob” or “Jeffrey”, it changed it into a ship name – Endeavor. The HTC Endeavor quad-core smartphone seems to be on its way!
The latest info seems to point that the device is going to be named HTC Supreme, so the artist formerly known as Endeavor (or Endeavour) will be most likely shown off at the Mobile World Congress later this month in Barcelona. The device packs an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.7 inch 720p display and in terms of media capabilities, it will land with an 8MP main camera on the back and a 1.3MP camera on the front. Connectivity wise, you’ll be getting all your standard Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and HSPA+ thingies going.
The device would thusly become the world’s first quad-core phone and with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC Sense 4.0 on top of it all, it sure looks like it will turn some heads. Now the only thing remaining is … wait for it… ANOTHER NAME CHANGE! Yey!
