If you have been paying attention to the news (or any form of moving pictures and so forth), you might’ve heard of the Sony Xperia S. The device is the company’s upcoming flagship for those of us mortals living in Europe and one of its biggest selling points is the 12MP camera. Now the folks at Phones4U gave this baby a shot!
To be quite precise about it, the Sony Xperia S was challenged by the iPhone 4S, the Samsung Galaxy S II and the Nokia Lumia 800. The challenge was to see which device could take pictures the fastest and at the same time see which one wins in terms of image quality with the end result. The Sony Xperia S was the one taking the cake, thanks to its dedicated camera button it managed to grab a picture in 1.8 seconds. It’s not quite there with the advertised 1.5 second time, however, it’s still very fast.
The main competitor was the Nokia Lumia 800 which managed to take the picture in 3 seconds with the iPhone 4S and the Galaxy S II taking the last spots as they don’t come with dedicated camera buttons. If you’re interested in this, check out the video and also the source.
